Meet Stella – The Vision & Project Lead of Marisola
Marisola was birthed from Stella’s vision to create a safe, nurturing space where women and girls could heal deeply and thrive beyond trauma. Stella serves as the Project Lead at Marisola, overseeing strategy, direction and survivor-centered programmes.
Stella is a Teens Teacher, digital marketer, and passionate community builder with years of experience volunteering and serving with NGOs focused on teens, education, and women’s health. She has led mentorship programmes, served in youth ministries, and supported initiatives empowering young teens to make wise, confident, and godly life choices. In 2018, while in Benin City, Nigeria, Stella founded Stellar Teens Network, a mentorship and support initiative for teenagers navigating life, purpose, and godly decisions. That journey of service laid the foundation for what would come next.
By 2024, through learning, listening, and witnessing the weight of trauma, disclosures, sexual abuse, and FGM, especially among girls and women close to her, she felt called to do more. This is how her journey into BUILDING MARISOLA began.
Determined to provide more than awareness, she founded Marisola, a movement where survivors can begin again and step boldly from healing into light. Her faith in God, love for people, and personal healing journey drive her mission to see women and girls live fully, freely, and confidently, because no one deserves to stay in the dark when light is possible.

Oby Obijiaku

ABOUT OBY OBIJIAKU
I joined Marisola Women’s Healing and Support Initiative because I believe in the power of community and compassion to heal, uplift, and transform lives. As someone deeply committed to service, I see this role as a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the emotional and psychological well-being of young women navigating life’s most vulnerable moments. Being part of an NGO allows me to act on my values—to advocate, support, and walk alongside others on their journey toward healing.
I am particularly passionate about helping girls and women who have experienced trauma, including sexual or gender-based abuse. These experiences often silence voices and diminish self-worth. My mission is to help women reclaim their strength, confidence, and identity. I believe every woman carries a unique brilliance, and with the right support, she can rise above her past and live boldly. My background in Child and Youth Care fuels this work, allowing me to bring empathy, experience, and a trauma-informed lens to every space I serve.
